WELCOME TO QUIZZOHOLICS TRIVIA!
A live-hosted and contactless digital team pub quiz event.
ABOUT THE GAME
Our game consists of 5 rounds of trivia with a winner in each round. The rounds contain 10 themed questions. Our host will ask the questions while you play the game on your cell phone by designating a Team Captain. This person will use their phone to submit your team’s answers. (You also have the option to join the game as a guest to read the questions as the game goes on.)
Categories change weekly but you can always expect rounds 1, 2, and 4 to be themed. Round 3 will always be an audio round asking to name that tune and the 5th round each week is always titled “Random Knowledge” and is a free for all of content.

After you read through this page you will be taken to our “Game Lobby”. You’ll need to enter the code provided by your host to enter tonight’s game.
You will register your team for tonight’s game by creating a team name. Only one person per group needs to do this. If other members of your team want to view the questions on their phones as well they can enter the game by clicking “Just Watch”.
-
Each round consists of 10 questions. The host will read the questions and you will enter your answers on the answer sheet on your phone. After the 10th question you will submit your answers for scoring. After the 10th question is read you have about 60 seconds to submit your answers before the round is locked.
-
Our scoring model is simple. If you get an answer right, your team earns a point. The team at the end of each round is the winner (because that’s how contests work). If you win a round, you earn a gift card prize. An accumulative score is also tracked, this information is simply shown for bragging rights.
You have the option to play a power up called the “Double Down”. This can be used in any round but can only be played once per game. It effectively doubles your points for the round. However, it comes with some risk. When you use your double down all of your submitted answers must be correct to earn points. If you put an answer down that is wrong, you will earn zero points for the round no matter how many questions you answered correctly. You may skip the question by leaving it blank. As long as the answer is blank this will not adversely affect your score. For example you can get 6 questions right and leave 4 answers blank; if you double down this will earn you 12 points. More than a perfect 10 with a standard submission. Using the double effectively will boost you to a round victory even when other teams may know more answers than you.
Whether you were successful or not, once you use the double down, you will no longer have the option to use it again.
-
Round 3 is not your typical Q&A round. For this round you will listen to short clips of songs. For each question there are 2 answer blocks. We’re looking for the Song Title and Artist. You will get a point for each correct submission. This round is worth 20 points! You can answer in any order and you do not need to get both items right to score points.
You may use your double down during this round and it works like any other. So if you know the song title but not the artist; you should leave one answer slot blank.
The Rules of Play
Team SizE
Every person in your group, at your table is considered a team member. Whether that person adds value to your team or is just here to look pretty and eat chicken fingers. The ideal team is about 4-6 players, but we set the maximum limit to 8. If there are more than 8 people in your party you will need to divide into separate teams and may not actively work together during rounds.
TRIVIA RULES
DON’T BE A DICK! We’re playing bar trivia. The prize money is only a few dollars. We all are capable of googling answers. Don’t do that. We’re here to have a good time and enjoy some food and beverages with our friends. Don’t ruin the spirit of fun by being overly competitive. It’s not that serious. Some of the questions are hard and you’re not going to get everything right. Some things you might even know and you just won’t be able to recall the information. That’s okay. What’s not okay is cheating at bar trivia for what amounts to a few bucks. You don’t have to play… we won’t be offended. If you do play just don’t be a dick and ruin the game.
BE KIND! Kindness is king, especially when it comes to our waitstaff and servers. Remember if you are here enjoying our game it’s because the restaurant paid us to be here. They do that assuming you’re going to spend a few dollars on drinks and dinner. Don’t forget to take care of your servers and bartenders. 20% is the absolute minimum you should be leaving as gratuity. Feel free to leave a few dollars on top. It’s not going to put you into financial ruin and its going to make someone’s work night a lot better.
That’s it… you’re probably ready for our game to start now, so begin playing by entering your game code below

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No! You can enter or leave the game at any time. There is a winner for each round and you are eligible to win whether you come late or leave early.
-
Yes. If you are expecting more than 8 people you should split into multiple teams, even if you may have less than 8 at the start of the game.
If you have more than 8 people at your table and win the round, you may not be eligible for prizes.
EVEN IF THOSE PEOPLE ARE “NOT EVEN PLAYING”. We count players by the number of people sitting in your group, no matter the value they may or may not add to the team.
-
Absolutely! Our trivia hosts love to be rewarded for their awesomeness and hard work. $1-$2 per team member is plenty adequate to show your appreciation.
-
Yes! 20% gratuity is standard and expected at the majority of restaurants. Oftentimes the waitstaff has to payout a percentage of your bill to bussers, food runners, and service bar tenders no matter how much you tip.
If you stiff the waitstaff, they may have to pay out of pocket for your meal! If you have bad service you should make the restaurant manager aware of the situation. You can do this during your visit or if you prefer you can contact the restaurant after your visit. If you are receiving poor service, chances are management is not aware. You can also request a different server on your next visit. It is never okay to stiff the waitstaff.

We should start with what you should NOT do and that’s yell out “CHEATERS!!!!” across the room. You also shouldn’t lose faith and cheat yourselves. Our quizzes are designed to know when/if teams are cheating and most of our hosts are very good at it.
We absolutely have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for cheating and we do not want it to ruin the sanctity of any of our games. If teams are cheating, others will not want to play and eventually the trivia night at your bar will no longer exist.
The best thing you can do is quietly let the quiz host know who you think may be cheating. They will use all the resources available to them to figure it out. Cheaters are very few and far between at our games and most of the times, the team you expect of cheating is just smarter than you are that night. However, it has happened and we’re sure it will happen again. We’re always on our toes, we even include some quiz questions that we know people won’t know just to catch teams cheating. We’ve caught cheaters by using security camera’s, undercover patrons, restaurant staff, and browser search history inquiries.

If you’re asking this question, you probably know the answer.
Using your phone to look up the answers at any point during an active round. Even if you're not submitting the answers you look up, you should not be using your phone in this manner during an active trivia round. This includes texting friends that aren’t present. This includes asking your smart watch for help or Shazam to name that tune. This includes asking another team to “trade answers”. It’s a pretty simple concept and we think our rules cover it pretty clear.
Don’t be a dick and cheat at trivia. It’s not that fucking serious, man. Look around… 50% of the people here are dumber than half the people in this room.. It’s okay to not know the answer.
Trivia is like golf… sometimes it’s really hard. But occasionally you’ll make a really nice shot (or get an answer no one else knows) and it keeps you coming back for me. Also, it’s not okay to cheat at golf… you need to count every stroke, Roger.
If you have any other questions, please speak with your trivia host or feel free to reach out to us.
